A Day In The Life...
Although every Internship and experience is different, following is an example on how a normal day and week would be during your Internship in Australia.
A day in the life

7:30 - Alarm is ringing! Time to jump in the shower and get ready!
8:30 - If catching a train, bus or ferry to get to the Internship host company, it's a good opportunity to get to know the locals!
9:00 - Just on time, giving a smiley good morning to colleagues before heading to my desk.
10:00 - My supervisor checks with me how my project is going. S/he is as helpful as usual and gives the opportunity to discuss the challenges I might have been encountering, advising possible solutions.
12:30 - The morning goes quickly and it is already lunch time! Now it's time to have a relaxing break and head off to the nearest food court where I can eat cheap meals from all around the world!

17:00 - Time to finish for the day! It is still sunny and warm outside so I decide to go for a walk along the beautiful Darling Harbour or the nearest beach enjoying the sun! The Australian outdoors is fascinating!
18:00 - A few people I had met during the Internship orientation are waiting for me to go for a drink so I rush to get there to spend some time sitting in one of Sydney's famous beer gardens. It is always good to meet friends and have a laugh and hear about their experiences! Having made friends from all around the world I am learning about so many other cultures too!
20:30 - It is late and I am still with friends so we decide to have dinner together and keep enjoying the city, the weather and the great atmosphere. There is so much to see and do!
22:00 - Just got home and found my international flatmates in the lounge room watching a DVD so I decide to join them. It is great to live in a share flat!
23:30 - Time to go to bed. My own room and bed are waiting for me, also looking forward to start a new day in the beautiful and lively Sydney. Not to mention that tomorrow I have a date with that gorgeous Australian bloke/sheila!
00:00 - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........
A week in the life
Monday
Wow, the weekend was great! Today I have a meeting with my supervisor to check my development and learning objectives. This is a weekly meeting to make sure we are both happy on how the internship is going. I have a quiet evening as the weekend was a busy one! Cook some nice food, watch a movie, have a chat with my flatmates and go to bed!
Tuesday
Yesterday's meeting with my supervisor was great. S/he has given me a very interesting project and I have to present an outline by Friday. I can't wait to get started with it! I am meeting an Australian friend at 6 and he is taking me to the Opera House to see a play, I am impressed!
Wednesday
My project has to be presented on Friday and I am already finding some challenges. My supervisor advises me how to get around it, I am learning so much! Last night was great and he is taking me to the beach to teach me how to surf! My friends back home will be so jealous!
Thursday
Still lots of things to do to have the project ready for tomorrow! I enjoy being busy and learn everyday from this experience. Thursday night is shopping night as all the stores are open until late. I end up buying a pair of sandals and a bikini to enjoy the beach on the weekend!
Friday
Today is the big day! I present my project and everyone seems to be very happy with it. The effort during the week has been worthwhile and my supervisor congratulates me on my presentation.
At 5 o'clock I go with my colleagues for a drink downstairs, it is good to share a drink together outside of the office!
Saturday
My friend's call wakes me up and I get ready to meet her at Bondi Beach! All our friends are already there swimming and enjoying another beautiful Australian day. During the afternoon the guys are playing football so we head to the local market to check out the local fashion.
Tonight we are going out so I am going home to take a shower and get ready. Sydney's night life has different options for everyone and it is always fun!
Sunday
Today I am going to a National Park with friends from all over the world. I saw my first koalas and played with kangaroos and wallabies. I didn't like the spiders and snakes we found on the way!
We use the public barbeques available everywhere and we cook lunch while we have a drink. After lunch we relax under the shade of a big tree and enjoy another sunset.
Australia is my dream come true!
